After discussing the needs of plants and exploring leaves and roots we generally begin our exploration of stems.
We introduce stems by discussing their main function, creating a narrative. This is also a good opportunity to conduct experiments.
We also talk about the two types of stems, herbaceous and woody. This can be expanded upon later.
On the shelf I have parts of a stem cards for revising and reinforcing what was covered in the lessons and discussions.
